However, in order to establish their business, they moved to New Delhi and became one of the most prosperous families of their time. Despite this success, their connection to Solan remained strong, and subsequent generations were told stories of the city that reminded them of their roots. Birding - Sylvan is located near Chail Wildlife Sanctuary, providing a great opportunity for bird watching. Migratory birds can be seen during all seasons, including rare and endangered species like Himalayan Owl and Bushchat in winter. In summer, nesting birds like Himalayan Bulbul and Blue Jay can be spotted. The area is also a nesting ground for various birds throughout the year, including the endangered Himalayan Griffin Vultures. Sylvan Resort practices seasonal plantation to attract more birds, contributing to nature conservation.

The Jang Bahadur Gorkha Fort, with a history of 190 years, is believed to have been constructed in just one day. Located at an altitude of 6,840 ft, the fort stands higher than Manali.

Established in 1855, the Solan Brewery is considered to be one of the oldest breweries in India. The brewery has now been converted into a distillery and attracts a large number of tourists. Previously controlled by the English, it is currently managed by Mohan Meakin Limited. A visit to this place, which lasts for about an hour, promises to be a delightful experience.
